Photography of wildlife coutesy of John Peterson Myers
John Peterson Myers is founder, CEO and Chief Scientist of Environmental Health Sciences, an organization engaged in advancing public understanding of environmental links to health. Throughout his extensive and challenging global travels during his career as an ornithologist, biologist and environmental scientist, Pete Myers has never been without a camera in hand. Whether clambering down an obscure, impassable box canyon in New Mexico's Sangre de Cristo mountains, or hiking in Patagonia, the highlands of China or the along the nesting grounds of his beloved shorebirds in the Arctic tundra, Pete has used his lenses to record intimate moments in nature. When the temperature is above 50 F and it's not raining, Myers regularly publishes EnvironmentalHealthNews.org and DailyClimate.org from a platform in the woods near his house.
